Here is the place to write a Show Report for your venue, detailing as much information as you can that might help shows there in years to come. Include things such as dimensions of stage, passing traffic, good spots to flyer, useful promo, tech equipment, ambient noise; anything that will help give shows a good idea of the venue before they arrive. **Please include your show number so we can confirm your show report is in the right venue forum**

Mister Meredith Singalonga Pub Quiz (show number 214) Fingers is an established New Town piano bar so even though not in the thick of other venues it has a following all its own that come to fringe shows. About 50 capacity although still a good atmosphere with 20 due to cabaret seating at the front. As its geared for music already its a good venue for any musical act. It has a permanent digital piano on stage set in a grand case which does take up some room but still quite a bit to the side of it. Theres a mic at the piano plus two on stage with boom stands. Theres a standard mini jack aux input for devices plus two extra channels for other instruments which take quarter inch jacks. Personally I had an excellent run, with hardly any flyering. Mostly I found myself pushing the WBB to fulfill FF conditions as my show was filling up anyway. All the Fingers staff are brilliant and there was quite a family atmosphere with a lot of us seeing each others shows when we could. Best flyering places: The Mound and the SE corner of Frederick St and George St. Thats where people are coming and going from the Spiegeltent and Assembly Rooms. The other corners are often just shoppers. The bar is in the room and theres no holding areas but we were lucky with the weather this year and people for the next show were mostly able to queue outside. When they did have to come in, those on door duty just asked them to keep quiet and it does emphasise how important door duty is, especially just before your show. Hats off to the acts either side of me for doing it so well.

Lighting is fairly basic. This venue very much more a cabaret rather than theatrical vibe, even though there is a dressing/green room area curtained off at the side of the stage. I was full most days apart from the middle Monday and Tuesday (I took that Wednesday off), turning people away every weekend. People reasonably generous and I had a good phone signal there on 4g so easy to take card payments. Ill be back there next year!

Nothing much to add to last year's report. Still a fantastic venue with lovely staff!
